As the title suggests DO NOT TRUST THIS PROGRAM not only will it hijack your computer but it is incredibly hard to completely destroy! Conduit is a "search toolbar" that will hijack your browser and slow your computer down to a crawl. Whitsmoke is a piggyback program from when you download conduit If you are unfortunate enough to have installed conduit/whitesmoke below are some suggestions to fix it. being as i run Firefox below suggestions are for Firefox users only. Step 1:
Click the Firefox tools button on the top left of your screen
Click Add-ons
Click Extensions
Click Conduit Toolbar
Click Uninstall
Close Browser
Step 2:
Open your Firefox browser and type “about:config” in address bar
Now you can see a list of items “Preference Name” and its values. Now type "search” in the filter box on top of that window...
Check all strings contents as "CONDUIT" - and rightclick-reset.
The same should be done for "WHITESMOKE" if you installed both
Step 3:
Go to http://superantispyware.com/ it is completely 100 % secure and safe.
Download Superantivirusspyware
Preform a full scan
Whitesmoke will show up in your infected however they will be unsure about removing it so make sure you remember to make sure the box beside it is checked when u go to remove the files.
I suggest doing all 3 to really destroy it however some are saying there problem was fixed after doing just 1 of the 3.
